Mural images: The artwork appearing here is from the mural that graces the exterior of the Baltimore Resettlement Center (Conkling Street at Eastern Avenue). This mural was created through a partnership between Baltimore City Community College’s Refugee Youth Project and the International Rescue Committee. It represents the journeys of 18 high school-aged refugee youth from eight different countries whose families have been resettled in the Baltimore area. Thank you to Jess Wyatt, Community Art Collaborative member and the Maryland Institute College of Art's Student Affairs Community Service fund for making this project possible.
